You should see to it that she does NOT have a chance to reproduce.  You may 
not have the fortitude to put her in a bag of water and then put the bag in 
the freezer, but fully half of the resultant genepool will also have the 
deformity stored in their genes.  It will be all but impossible to get it 
bred out.
