I just wanted to share some joy with the group. My pair
of panduros have spawned. I saw about 25 free swimmers yesterday.
First of all, I'm surprised that their first spawn was that large, and that they
spawned in my pH of 7.2-7.4 water. I have been too busy with work, etc. to
get the tank to a pH beneficial for breeding, but they did it
anyway.
The care in which the female shows great to watch. This
is the reason I started keeping apistos. Picking up the fry and
moving them around to various "safe zones" in the tank. (Probably away
from my staring).
Wish me luck in trying to successfully raise these fry.
Any tips would be greatly appreciated.
Have a good day!
Daryl Hudson
