I've tried a lot of techniques - still no spawn. I have them in very soft, pH 6 water at 86°F (30°C). It's a 60-gal. tank with lots of driftwood and cover. I recreated the habitat I collected them in. Heck, I even have the same damn tetras from that area. The only thing I have not recreated is the leaf litter and the Hoplias! This is the hardest I've ever tried to spawn a fish and I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. So, what were the spawning conditions in your tank...besides clouds of detritus, which I have.
