Hi, guys wanted to let you know the latest. Kathy ---------- Forwarded message ---------- Date: Tue, 9 Feb 1999 11:17:30 -0700 From: Diane Elliott <Diane_Elliott@usgs.gov> To: kathy@thekrib.com Subject: Auction and meeting Hi Kathy (and Erik, too), First, the good news: Because I still have a master address list of manufacturers/companies who donate to the GSAS annual auction, I went ahead and revised the list (perusing TFH and FAMA, adding new manufacturers and subtracting "duds"), and sent out most of the solicitation letters for the April auction. (I still have a few to send out in the next couple of days). Now, the bad news: It looks like I have a workshop that conflicts with the March GSAS meeting. (I think that was one of the possible months for me to speak.) However, I have been working on a fish disease program that is a little different from the usual "what they are and how to treat them" talk. The program discusses the role of the fish's skin in health and disease, and features a number of "larger-than-life" scanning electron micrographs from some of my work with salmon and goldfish diseases. (Operating a scanning electron microscope is sort of like driving a lunar rover over the surface of the fish.) Please let me know if you have questions. Take care, Diane
