It was a joke Dave. Remember the meeting earlier this year at Heather's? My point then, and I'm still not convinced it isn't valid, is that we really aren't sure how useful or used the newsletter it is. Sure it is fun to produce, and sure a few members do enjoy and use it, but we really don't know if it is more than a couple people. It really might be little more than a waste of club resources (not to belittle the hardwork Eric and others have put into it, 'cos I know it is a labor of love). I think the meetings, especially the ones with "big name" presenters are the lifeblood of the club, given that our goal is to gain a large membership and involve a lot of people. I am not saying that this IS our goal, but after a couple of years I do believe it is the only way we will have more than 10-20 people at a meeting on a cosistent basis. I know this viewpoint is HIGHLY unpopular, but what the heck. Bob p.s. let's not get too sidetracked, should we postpone the meeting? > ---------- > From: Sanford, Dave LHS-STAFF[SMTP:Sanfordd@issaquah.wednet.edu] > Reply To: gsas-board@thekrib.com > Sent: Tuesday, November 16, 1999 9:25 AM > To: 'gsas-board@thekrib.com' > Subject: RE: Board stuff (or is that bored stiff?) > > Bob, what do you mean "kill the newsletter"?
