I honestly do not mind doing it either way, so long as someone gives me the list of names to make cards for and will mail them for me as well. There is something to be said for once a year billing however, from a bill paying position, I like my bills as far away from Christmas as possible.......~~laughing~~ -----Original Message----- From: Erik Olson [mailto:erik@thekrib.com] Sent: Wednesday, September 04, 2002 5:21 PM To: gsas-board@thekrib.com Subject: RE: Memberships, expiry, cards, etc I'm sort of the same opinion too... I would think this kind of approach works when your membership doesn't have a very big turnover, i.e., people tend to renew year after year. I know that the folks running the club before me (Steve Avenell in particular) didn't like it, which is why they changed it. I suggested it only as an alternative for Erika if she isn't ready for the challenge of monthly business card mailings. :) Hopefully Clay and Dave can weigh in on this one as well! - Erik On Wed, 4 Sep 2002, Rick Rose wrote: > Well, I'm admittedly the new kid on the block, so I need some help to understand this. What do you do when someone "discovers" the club say, in October (like my family did) and decides to join in Nov/Dec? Do you prorate the dues to match whatever portion of the club-year is remaining in order to put every member on the same schedule? > > Rick Rose :) > Senior Programmer/Analyst > Northwest Administrators, Inc. > Phone: (206) 926-2774 > Fax: (206) 926-2699 > rrose@nwadmin.com > > -----Original Message----- > From: DonaldR [mailto:gsmd_bari@yahoo.com] > Sent: Wednesday, September 04, 2002 3:16 PM > To: gsas-board@thekrib.com > Subject: Re: Memberships, expiry, cards, etc > > > I'm in favor of the "once a year" mode for everyone.
