Rick,Congrats!! Glad to hear baby and Mom are doing well.
ClayJune and everybody,
I know today is your deadline for newsletter content, so you will have to
decide if this is helpful or not. I borrowed Paul Winchester's digital camera
while at the GSAS Picnic and I got quite a few good shots. Paul said he would
download them and send me a CD, but as of yesterday's mail, it had not
arrived. The picnic was very well attended, and I would say it was a real
success - it would be nice to promote that idea in the newsletter, if there's
time. I have the attendance written down at home. If I can get the pictures,
I would use two of them and could put together something small for the
newsletter. I'll email Paul today to see if they're coming.
Since your last email asked about the baby, I'll bring everybody up to date.
Miriam Faith was born last Friday morning at 2:32am. She was 7 lbs. 3 oz. and!
was 21" long. She is very Beautiful, if I do say so myself... and I do :) Two
weeks before she was born, they found an irregular heartbeat that led to
multiple ultrasounds, doctors & specialists and a pretty certain diagnosis of a
heart defect in the baby. She had her first surgery yesterday and came through
it just fine. Sue and I are staying with her her at the PICU of Mary Bridge
and in the parent apartments across the street. We may be able to take her
home in about 5 days.
Rick
