Good morning.Still working on lining up a local speaker for January. Haven't heard anything back yet about Mel O'Meare or Steve MacDonald yet. Yesterday I emailed Jeffrey Shafer, who runs a loach website (loaches.com), enquiring about possible loach speakers. No response yet. He also is involved with some other websites, mainly Aquaweb which is kind of a general aquarium website. I visited the American Livebearer Association website looking for speaker possibilities, saw a few familiar names there. Will follow up on this. Looks like we have a pretty sure thing for a guest speaker in March. Yohan Fernando on wild bettas. He's the guy David Spector recommended. See attached below.

I am honored at the invitation. I do have a power-point presentation that I have given to several Aquarium Societies around the country on wild Bettas and I continue to update this presentation each time before a presentation. Earlier this year, I gave this presentation in San Francisco. I would need a computer and a LCD projector for the presentation. Is this something you can provide? I can bring my laptop but I don't have a LCD projector to bring with me.At this point, anytime before June is pretty open. Ideally, March sounds like a good time to come out there. I live in Chicago so is the Club willing to pay for my transportation?Stay in touch!
