Thank you so much for volunteering to help as the GSAS Shows Committee Chairperson. The Board unanimously approved you as chairperson at the last board meeting. You obviously put a lot of though into your proposal and the Board really appreciates your effort and enthusiasm.
Regarding some of the questions that you asked (about prizes, categories, entry fees, and submission limits) the board discussed this for quite a while and, in light of the fact that one of the other proposals already being planned for this year is “on the competitive side,” ultimately decided to promote home show(s) as a “for fun,” non-competitive event. So, we are suggesting no prizes, categories, entry fees, or limits – just fun, friendship, and encouragement.
If you have any other questions, please don’t hesitate to contact myself or one of the other board members. Also, if your schedule ever allows you to attend one of the board meetings (the second Thursday evening following the second Tuesday of each month – sounds complicated, but it works) that would be great.
