That is really cool Erik!!!!  I would love to see the presentations on DVD.

 Jim is the guy at Conway Tropical Fish if we still need the tapes back he is 
planning on being at the Auction with donations, we could ask then if he still 
has them.

...after copying and preparing Johan's presentation for video last weekend, I 
was hit by some inspiration and started copying and encoding
*all* the presentations in my GSAS archive, for DVD.  It's working quite well 
with my current lack of time to work on the computer, as it takes several hours 
to encode each talk, during which time the computer is unusable for other 
purposes.

At this rate we should have a full set for the library by the May meeting.  
I don't know if Mr. Conway Tropical Fish ever returned the full set of VHS 
tapes he checked out last June, but DVD will be much easier than VHS to make 
replacement copies for the library as others get lost.  Should be 
cool.
