Yep, that's what my gut says too. Actually, in the past most of the
speakers have stayed with members (i.e., Kathy and me from 1997-2002) over
weekends and such. We've done a few hotels, but only for one
night, and it used to be a pretty unusual situation.

I received a phone message from Tom today. He is planning to come up here
early, either Sunday or Monday, which would mean staying an additional one or
two nights. His message is a bit ambiguous as to whether he expects the club
to pay for the extra nights. My own feeling is that we should pay for only
one night. That's all we've ever done in my experience. I'm looking for a
"gut feeling" amongst past and present board members as to how this should be
handled, if indeed it even comes up. Right now I'm planning to tell him that
we have a one night only policy when I talk to him this evening. Please
comment on this matter.
Thanks.
Bob
