Meredith: I agree with Eric that transferring over images and documents with a flash drive is the way to go. I get mine from Costco. However I would like to add that pulling the old hard drive is also a good thing to do to keep the next owners from finding anything. Where space allows I simply put the second drive in the case (switch jumper from master to slave) or buy a external hard drive to USB box (I did this for my laptop) where I plug in the drive when needed.
