For several years we have considered using one of Erik's DVDs as a program in itself, and although that might not seem like a glamorous idea I am getting more and more anxious to see one. Looking through his list I had the following thoughts: -- We could ask Erik for a recommendation, as to which one would be the most fun for the most people (since Erik is familiar with all of them). -- We could play the one (by Jim Atchinson) about live foods, and members could bring samples and starter cultures to share, demonstrate, or talk about. We always have fun at a Live Foods talk. -- We could run one of the programs about Photography, and solicit input from members as well, as I know people are always expressing an interest in learning more about aqaurium photography. I would even suggest that Erik repeat the talk he gave for us a few years ago, except that he might be a little too pressed for time. We COULD even invite members to each bring a few of their photos on a jump drive to discuss if they wish, because that seems to work out pretty well in the current location (the jump drive thing). We could give people a little advance notice so they can find a few pictures to bring along to the meeting. Could be fun.
