Re: [GSAS-board] Printer

Here's my 2 cents on the matter.

We *never* use very much ink on auction day. The crappy little inkjet printer that I keep stashed away in the closet gets pulled out for the auctions, and the ink has often dried up over the last year. I had the same problem when I used a dot matrix printer. So for a few days before the auction, I try to re-hydrate it.

Toner, as I understand it, being dry, lasts indefinitely.

I checked prices on this particular toner cartridge -- looks like TN360. Looks like retail the cartridges are $40-60, but some places sell $25-30, and I see refill kits for $21.

Don't know exactly, it uses toner and as far as I know it will last a while. I
have been told,
that sad as it sounds, nowadays it is cheaper to buy a new printer then to
replace the toner.
Because the latest model printer is cheaper then the toner for the "old" model.

Erik, Paul,  any input about this??!!

Board,

what does the board think about buying GSAS a printer (as Erik said it's $50 at
Frys, +tax ...
about $54) ????

Let me know, I can go to Frys and buy it. The ad is for today, so reply asap,
please.
