Here's my 2 cents on the matter.We *never* use very much ink on auction day. The crappy little inkjet printer that I keep stashed away in the closet gets pulled out for the auctions, and the ink has often dried up over the last year. I had the same problem when I used a dot matrix printer. So for a few days before the auction, I try to re-hydrate it.
Toner, as I understand it, being dry, lasts indefinitely.I checked prices on this particular toner cartridge -- looks like TN360. Looks like retail the cartridges are $40-60, but some places sell $25-30, and I see refill kits for $21.
