>>In response to the emails over the weekend I remain horribly conflicted over the sponsorship issue too. I see where Phil is going with the ability to really make the auction big in the Canada model and how to keep the website maintainable. Keep in mind that I am NOT in favor of making our website a huge mass of ads, ads and yet even more ads. I DO think that the occasional banner ad, if done nicely, will go a LONG way to helping us get continued support from our big sponsors. Not a huge amount, and maybe not even one, but just one at the top that rotates with our sponsor info. If we allow one rotating ad for ANY sponsor - Blue Sierra, Red Sea, APFP, whoever - then all sponsors are truly equal there. Also a separate page or tab listing our club's sponsors (like the AGA has) is perfect, and just what I had in mind. >>If a club is willing to participate in a newsletter exchange I would be happy adding them to or links as that serves a purpose. I would also work to add (maintain) or donor email list so they at least get a regular PDF of the newsletter. Oh yes, we should most definitely send our sponsors the newsletter! As they reply, I'll make sure to provide the list to whoever needs it. >>I for one like the logo now that I know a little about it. However change can be good. This is not something to do lightly. Please keep in mind that I wasn't trying to step on any toes when I tweaked the logo - I like it too, it just had a LOT of dead space, and I thought adding the "official Seattle" colors might brighten it up a bit. By all means, if anyone insists I change it back or use something else, please let me know! In the meantime...can I get a copy of that "Sponsor" email or mailing list, where we were sending the newsletters? That might help me a LOT in contacting the right folks for donations!
