Re: [GSAS-board] ok a vote

Yes, the new art chair is Claire McNally. I spoke with her about this, brought
her up to speed on what we've decided so far, and she's ready to go. So
starting now submissions can be sent to her at:

cmcnally1012@comcast.net

So the questions up to the board are;
- Is everybody okay with Feb. 1st as the cut-off?
- Is the Plant Auction good for the membership ballots distributed by Phil?
- Should it be the top three entries or some other number?
- Should members be able to vote if they are not present at the Plant Auction?

Here's what I would suggest. We have a new art chair, right? Steev, I'm SO
sorry, but I've forgotten her name, like a dolt. Why don't we put her on
this task, and let her decide a winner?

I'd even go so far as to say we put the deadline for submissions at Feb. 1,
then let her pick her top three, then we could do a vote at the plant
auction. I could crunch the finalists into Illustrator and make a nice
ballot to hand out at the beginning of the auction, and the design would be
chosen by the membership that night, as we'll have a good percentage of them
on hand for the auction anyway.

Thoughts?

Phil
