Re: [GSAS-board] Proposed email

Paul,

I would enjoy hearing your ideas as well. If I remember correctly, I was the
front end of this emailstorm.

I have some ideas for Dave on my own. Any objection to me contacting him today
to A) let him know his issue is under debate and B) float my ideas?

Hi,

After having been in the club 13 years or so (much less than Erik, Steev, Clay
and Dave), it seems like this stuff comes and goes.

I never minded Hiro's posts, it gave club members great opportunities, and I
miss Hiro (does anyone know where he went), but it was bordering on commercial,
and he was definitely local...right at Lake Union. Hiro was tactful.

I have seen some other posts border on commercial. In general, people on the
list tend to ignore them or tell them how they feel (like...HEY STOP THAT).

This guys seemed very polite. Most people probably would of just done posted
it. If he wasn't so *nice* he would of posted and no discussion would of
ensued. I like the idea of saying, Hey...I am setting this up and trying this
out, if anyone wants to offer suggestions, I would love to hear them, and his
link. He can put the discount in his link or on the GSAS page. Done. He is a
member.

GSAS members post things all the time about stores having sales, or look at
this, or someone is opening that...and I like that. It lets us know where to
look.

Now if it was regualar ADVERTISING on the LIST I would say NO WAY. But this
isn't, he is just asking for some feedback.

Good luck discussing it at the board.

Kathy
