I agree that time is the limiting factor and that we could go much more quickly on cheap items. I think the sales table is a good idea, and while it might detract from the auctioning at hand there are often times when at least some of the people are not interested in what is being auctioned at any given moment. Those people might want to look at the "Buy It Now" table. If we do NOT put lots that include a Split on the Buy It Now table it should go quite smoothly and people could just debit their card for the amount. We should also consider that if we order TOO large an amount of plants (whatever that might be) from African Northwest those items require extra time to auction off, but will assumedly go for a lower price than if we start with a more modest amount. I also would not be able to attend on a Saturday. Steev ----- Original Message ---- From: Paul M. Our options are to start early, limit the lots, or sell faster. I think the new space specifically will be ready much earlier and I will be there ASAP to set up tables and bag plants. I also hate spending a minute to sell a bag of java moss for a buck... I like the sale table. -Paul -----Original Message----- From: gsas-board-bounces@thekrib.com [mailto:gsas-board-bounces@thekrib.com] On Behalf Of Phil Lacefield Jr. Sent: Tuesday, January 05, 2010 9:32 AM To: 'GSAS board members and alumni' Subject: Re: [GSAS-board] Plant auction >>I certainly won't participate if it's moved to a Saturday.
