Re: [GSAS-board] GSAS auction confirmations

I'm of the same opinion here. DEFINITELY allow plant-related animals like shrimp and algae-eating fish. PROBABLY allow any livestock, so long as it doesn't go over the 20-lot rule per member.

Hi Paul,

I donât have a problem with shrimp or fish unless the additional number of
âLotsâ adds a lot of time to the auction.

Do you think that fish or shrimp should be included in the plant auction?

Dear Roy,

Â

We ask for donations at the general auction only.

Â

In the past the auction was plants only but was expanded to plants/fish to give
the cichlid and killie people something to do. How do
we want to handle it this year. No equipment or tanks. Â

Maybe we would want to add to the list âDoor Prizesâ for the Plant
Auction? We could solicit the prizes when we drop off
the Plant Auction Flyers at the various LFS? Phil would probably want to
know so it can be mentioned on the Flyers.

Dear Phil,

Â

Thank you for your work on the flier. Meredith has requested the Falcon Lounge
6-10:30pm on Tuesday February 9th. So that is
the date.

Â

In the past we have moved the auction time a little. For 2008 the idea was
check in at 6:30 (especially for sellers), start at
7:30. ÂI will be there at 6 and would like conformation of the check in and start
TIMES Âfrom the board for the flier.

Â

per my understanding
we will meet in Otto Miller 127 on the evening
of January 12th 2010
7pm - 10pm-ish
we will need 8 tables
Â
We will have our February auction/meeting Âon
Tuesday, February 9th in the Falcon Lounge
If we could have access from 6-10:30pm that would be wonderful
we will need 8 tables in addition to the tables already in the room
we will also need 40 chairs
Â
is this the same information that you have?
Â
thank you for checking
