Susan, what make/model is the printer?I already bought a printer for GSAS auctions several years back -- I bought a used inkjet model from Re-PC for $10, and then proceeded to pay twice as much just for the cartridge. That took care of us for the first couple auctions. Then the ink dried up, and I spent the better part of a day soaking the cartridge in water to reconstitute it each time we had another auction. So essentially, inkjet = stoopid thing to have sitting around for the better part of a year in my closet, or $20-30 per year/auction to get a new cartridge (and wasteful at that). They work just fine if someone brings in their own with a working cartridge for the meeting.
Laser printers, can sit around indefinitely, because the toner cartridge is dry to begin with. But again, a wrinkle -- most laser printers are bulky & heavy. I don't want to lug all the other stuff AND that around.
The ideal situation is for someone else to bring one in that they don't mind lugging over (if I can get the printer information in advance, and make sure I set it up right). But if not, Frys regularly discounts one of the lightweight Brother printers like Christine has (though not this week).

I will bring Costco Pizza, does three seem like a good number? Do you think more or less?? Let me know. As for the printer, ours has been acting up a bit so I am not comfortable bringing it. Does anyone else have one (Phil did you bring one last time?) Or do we just want to go the $40 route and buy one for the club?? Opinions? I got some at Costco and Margie brought a bunch in as well last year. I can pick up another box of four at Costco again. For 2008 the idea was check in at 6:30 (especially for sellers), start at 7:30. I will be there at 6 and would like conformation of the check in and start TIMES from the board for the flier.
