I do not know the prefered temp of the variety that I have - the are being
kept in my fishroom at 70+.

What is their preferred temperature range? I know we have scuds in a lot or
our local lakes, rivers and I was wondering if it was possible to use our
local versions. Of course finding them in sufficient numbers wouldn't be
very easy :)

The directions I got with the culture said no filter - probably sucks up the
babies.  I don't see how they could become a problem if they are not all
eaten as they are scavengers...
