Subject: Question

I am actually writing in regards to the 1999 article "Dr. Goti". I have Sea
Monkeys that I am trying to raise. Both me and my daughter have allergies so
when we moved, we left behind the cat. After about 6 months of her crying for
her cat, I got her a hamster and a ball for it to go on the floor. The hamster,
unknown to us, was pregnant when we got her. After a while, we suspected this,
and it was confirmed when I awoke from a nap on the couch to find her eating
her own babies. That was extremly traumatic! She died of natural causes about 5
months short of her 3rd birthday. Now we are trying Sea Monkeys. I've managed
to wipe out one tank, minus 2 survivors, due to algea overgrowth. I am hopeful
for this new tank, but it is frustrating to know that I have to have special
water (with the "secret ingredients" from the water purifier package) to keep
them alive. I am now looking into fresh water pets similar to Sea Monkeys. That
is how I came across your site. I found the term "Eubranchia vernalis" on the
site (http://www.gsas.org/Articles/1999/ghoti.html) but can't find it anywhere
else. I was wondering what they are and if I could get some more info on them.
It might sound selfish, but if they aren't any tougher than Sea Monkeys, I
would be interested in helping to preseve them, since your site said they are
endanger of becoming extinct.

Thank you for any info you can provide,
Ann Brown
