Kate,
I think I may have made a comment during the auction about Axelrod's "Dead Fish
Pictures" in his books. I certainly hope that he does not use "Dead Hamster
Pictures" in his upcoming book.
Thanks for the links to the newsarticles....I found them very entertaining. I
see that Paul Loiselle still thinks highly of Axelrod. Paul came to Seattle a
number of years ago to present to our club and stayed at our house. During his
stay he had no issue with letting us know about his feelings relative to
Axelrod.....so, the history goes way back as Paul stayed at our house in the
late 80's if I remember correctly.

For all you who dislike Herbert Axelrod's style of prose, your time has
come. Am I the only one who didn't know he had been indicted on tax
fraud but fled to Cuba in his yacht? As I recall at least one member
poking fun at his books at an auction I decided to spread the news...
just in case you like I do not watch TV to learn about semi current
events. Plus the third article says fish related email groups are
supposed to be "abuzz" so I am abuzzin.

I hope they don't deport him before he finishes his new book on
hamsters! In the third article the author suggests that we
affectionately call eachother "fish heads", often. Personally I thought
those were the guys who followed the band Phish, I prefer to be
addressed by the more definitive term "fish geek" which I think pretty
well covers me in a nutshell.
Have a good monday, and remember, it's a good day when you didn't flee
to cuba to write a book on hamsters! Any monday is better than that.
