I have a couple pics of the diatom filter I used in action... would this
be a good topic overall-how to overcome greenwater-and everyone writes a
brief piece that someone could edit? Actually we could take all the
emails and turn them into one. I am currently attempting to overcome it
with rotifers as I suggested to someone else. So far the fish are eating
well... not up for removing the fish so ultimately might have to try
something else. I don't think you want to DIY a diatom filter, better to
buy a somewhat used one as they are the kind of item that doesn't get a
lot of use even if it's several years old, as long as nothing is broken
and the seals are good a used one should be fine.

Seems like there's a lot of us who are interested in diatom filters.
I've never used one or seen one so I know nothing about their
operation, but I would like to. This could be a great DIY project.
Anyone know of any info sources on these things?
Anyone up for writing a newsletter article on diatom filters, maybe
with some pictures and/or sketches?
