Susan,

Be very careful when using chemicals around your plexi....many of them will 
haze the surface leaving you with something potentially worse than what you had 
to begin with.  Try the chemicals on the bottom of the tank first if you 
can....to see what they might do....or better yet, on the top in case they 
weaken the plastic.

I was just at the hardware store tonight, trying to figure out what will remove 
the 100% silicon sealent on my "new" plexiglass tank. I heard that pure ammonia 
helps to soften it. Anyone find a successful way to remove it? Susan Welenofsky
