I'm trying to promote "wild bettas", I can't gaurantee there will be many non-betta anabantids this time (maybe for a spring show). I'm hoping to get a few. The IBC has a species maintenance group (www.ibc-smp.org) that I am involved in and I would like to expand to other anabantids, personally anyway. The IBC does not have a class for fish outside of the genus *betta*, so others would be exhibition only, this time anyway. If there is enough interest PNWBS could have an additional class for them for their shows. Other IBC chapters do this sort of thing for pets or juviniles. I think it would be fun :-). I found out about the picnic date in the last newsletter (the same time I found out I had been approved as editor). Rick reminded me that it had been published in the previous newsletter... I should have checked there too instead of just the website. Oh well, next time I will be a bit more aware of what has been published in the newsletter... :-D. --- haika@drizzle.com wrote: > I've never been to a show like this, but am very > interested in seeing > non-betta anabantids.
