Chick-pea flour (a.k.a. garbanzo bean flour, or gram flour, though NOT
graham flour) works like a charm. Don't use too much or you will foul
your culture.
On this same note, I have two kiddy pools which I am selling with
daphnia as daphnia starter cultures. $5 each, email if interested.
