Actually, we get lots of salmon through our center, especially from fishery observer samples (people put onto the commercial fleet to moniter catch), but they aren't aged at our center. Most salmon are easily aged from scales since they are so young (in comparison to something like rockfish....which we've estimated at 90-100 or so maximum age). So no....no salmon please <G>....but thanks so much for asking. I'm mostly curious looking at known age fish....fish you've raised from egg/juveniles etc and have some clue about how old they are. With the relatively constant environmental regime in a fish tank, I'm uncertain how distinct the growth zones will be. Betty Goetz > Are you interested in any from Sockeye salmon?
