RE: [GSAS-Member] GE silicone

Trish,

One other note on a silicone. It takes on the coloration of the
chemicals you put in the water over time too. So, if you think the
silicone is going to be seen, keep this in mind. Specifically, silicone
will take on a milky haze, or a green tint, or a blue tint depending on
the chemicals you use in the water. And, this is true for as long as
you have the silicone in your tank.......it can pick up the coloration
at any time.

If you need a lot buy the size that works with a caulking gun.

Thanks everyone for replying to this. I will be going
their tomorrow to the Puyallup store, and check it
out. I'll look at both of them, and see which gives
more for the money. Then I can start on my project
this weekend.

I'll let it cure probably for a week before putting
into the tank.It will be curing in the garage and it
isn' as warm in their. So this should be long enough
to cure, I think.

Thanks again....I'll let you know how it turned out!
If anyone wants to see pictures, let me know.

Trish
