Trish, If memory serves me right, there was a discussion of making sure you let the silicone cure at least 24 hours before submerging it in water. As the chemicals that offgas during curing can be detrimental to fish. Otherwise the GE Silicone II is very good for working in glass aquariums, though it does not adhere very well to plexiglas.
