If there's a way of recycling that much water AND maintaining a happy home, I don't know what it is :) I'll probably do 25% every three days and see what happens. I've been told by a friend who breeds zebra plecos that they're more inclined to spawn following a water change that lowers the tank temp by 5 to 7 degrees. We shall see. The gauntlet is down! Growing old is inevitable; growing up is optional. -- John Ruhland <john@drruhland.com> wrote: Wow, sounds like a lot of work, but rewarding. Is there any way to recycle water to avoid the waste of so much heated water? Maybe a better filtration system. 30% water changes every other day adds up to be a lot of water.
