Another thought would be to hatch out daphnia ephippium (cysts) or to culture some freshwater rotifers. That's what I've done for my baby honey gouramis...mostly cuz I didn't want to deal with salty water (shrug). I've also gotten smaller copepods (a mix...including cyclops etc)which seem to boom and bust for me. I've gotten quite a few of my cultures through: http://www.aquaculturestore.com/fwinverts.html I've noticed that the daphnia cysts from my wild-collected culture hatch out within 24 hours when remoistened. I learned this when one of our bucket cultures here at work evaporated a bit and left a ring of cysts (black seed-looking thingies) around the bucket rim cuz we'd been working too much OT and forgot to feed the little red jumpy guys. That's when they start to produce the cysts for us. Once I filled the bucket back up and the cysts were rehydrated, we had teeny tiny pink babies the next day.
