The green water might contain some good food organisms.
A good supplement for tanks with babies is to grind up some feeze-dried food 
(like bloodworms or krill) into as fine a powder as you can and then mix this 
with some water and try to squirt it down where the babies are. We don't want 
to pollute the water of course.
