When I reared some local toad tadpoles for a co-worker (who is a wetlands
consultant), she said most frog/toad tadpoles just need lots of algae. I
had outside ponds that had lots of that, so the little toadlets emerged
and dispersed fine. Haven't seen any since (sigh).
A couple things I remember her saying: Pond/water container should have
lots of shade. Lots of algae. Freeze lettuce and then dry/flake it if you
need supplementation. Make sure the water container has vegetation
drooping down into it so the little frog/toadlets can crawl out of the
water when they need to. Good luck!
