Re: [GSAS-Member] Fish store recommendations?

My own experience at The Fish Store is when I first started up a tank, they were really keen on selling me a lot of fish. It was AFTER they all died that I learned about the nitrogen cycle. That is my fault, but their customer service could have
made a difference.

The Renton Fish Gallery (Stacy is the knowledgeable and helpful person who taught me a lot about what I needed to know)
actually told me not to buy too many fish at first.

I think that The Fish Gallery is more likely to get repeat customers, considering the number of people I know who went through
what I did. I have friends who tried, failed, and gave up.

Now I'd like to support stores that support the GSAS, who donated significant amounts to the auction. That would be a useful
list of stores.

Personally, I've found The Fish Store to be helpful about 2/3rds of the
time, and arrogant and difficult the other third.

About a year ago they gave me specific instructions for a copper treatment that killed more than half of my tank within two hours. "Gee, sorry," they
said. This is my experience only, but I won't shop there any more.
