Wow, I thought Dr Kallman was younger than 78 (or close to). A life surrounded by fish must be good for you :) And yes, thank you so much for the plants and fish. You guys are great. My tanks are filling out with the new cuttings and my fish love it! My two little Endler's are just as happy as can be. They're very cute to watch. Holy, I just looked and the female has given birth! I see 5 little fry. I wonder if that's all there are. How many do they typically have? Are Hikari First Bites sufficient for the babies? Haha, how fun. I didn't get to bed until midnight after the meeting on Tuesday. I was busy setting up tanks for the Endler's and shellies. I also apparently need check valves for my air pumps. I turned one off before the meeting and came home to 5g of water drained from my 15g that sits on my desk. Water was all over my office floor. Oh boy... Can you tell I've never really used air pumps before? And for those who were wondering what was in the shells in our bucket, here is a link about them: http://www.cichlid-forum.com/articles/n_multifasciatus.php They are just the cutest little blue-eyed buggers. All 5 adults and 2 juvies made it. The one small fry seems to have disappeared somewhere in the transfer. And one adult is hanging around the top corner, which is very odd. However he doesn't appear ill so I'm not sure what to do to appease him. I found it very entertaining and educational. Swordtails and Platies have always been some of my favorite fish. I found the information about location more than habitat for distribution quite interesting. I did a bit of searching for more information and found an article on Dr. Kallman and his work: http://www.xiphophorus.org/100300s3/css/100300s3_1.htm and here is the home link to the Xiphophorus Stock Center: http://www.xiphophorus.org/ Also, thanks to all of you who brought plants/fish to share. My tanks and I greatly appreciate it. Looking forward to next month! deb _______________________________________________ GSAS-Member mailing list GSAS-Member@thekrib.com http://lists.thekrib.com/mailman/listinfo/gsas-member _______________________________________________ GSAS-Member mailing list GSAS-Member@thekrib.com http://lists.thekrib.com/mailman/listinfo/gsas-member
