Subject: brush algae (was) Re: [GSAS-Member] Rocks

the ph is perfect, no nitrites...i monitor all and more each week....i
have
lowered my lighting to less watts

I had some brush algae in my 29g community tank at work. But when I
lowered the pH to around 6.8, I eliminated the algae. The pH was over 7.0.
I used Keta pellets in a filter bag to lower the pH. So, when you say the
pH is 'perfect', I'm wondering what your target pH is and whether that
might be a variable to consider.
