I was googling red cherry shrimp today and found a chat transcript I've
not read before:
http://badmanstropicalfish.com/stories/chat/chat_9-16-05.html
There are links to photos showing males/females and descriptions of egg
carrying females which helped me realize that my oldest shripm have been
breeding, but probably eat the young. I've seen the terracotta/yellowish
'saddle' several times on my largest shrimp. In a larger tank, the babies
may survive better, but things are pretty 'concentrated' in this 2 gallon
tank.
