Susan- As Mark said, there is a good chance it is Velvet. I would use salt and some Acriflavin. If it's flukes then those two things will at least help the situation. I was telling Mark a while back: The way I treat velvet on killifish (or Bettas) is to put the fish in a one gallon bowl (of water) with a tablespoon of rock salt. I don't mix the salt in - just let it sit on the bottom where it forms a layer of very salty water. Killis will swim down into it and then back out of it. Eventually the Oodinium cysts fall off the fish and end up in the brine on the bottom where they die. You can change water daily and redo it for best results.
