Thanks for the offer, Susan. I was mostly worried about the prettiest shubunkins. My ex-neighbor will probably dump them into a brand new pond without much cover. Forage will probably develop by the time they start eating again in the spring....but I worry about herons etc <G>. Today I found a home for the two nicest big shubunkins with a co-worker who has a 55 gallon tank waiting. Those are the two I would have kept if I had the space. They look like Japanese/American shubunkins (long flowing tails). There are two more that look like London shubunkins (comet-like tails...a bit more expanded but not as much as Bristol shubunkins). And my ex-neighbor will take all the rest on Friday if no one has come for them by then. I'm keeping around 3 of the prettiest of the babies. Wish I knew more about how shubunkins develop! So many of these really look like comets to me....white/orange comets. So I really don't know how many of these are 'pure' shubunkin except for the biggest fish.
