Yep, it stinks to do (figuratively and literally.) I throw eggs away that won't 
hatch without bleaching. Some people are cool with it and have been doing it 
for years.
 
Not me - too much bleach, vinegar, blah de blah. I was also always concerned 
that dumping bleach, even if 'neutralized' through Vinegar or whatever, wasn't 
good for my home' septic system. Perhaps overly so, but I didn't use chlorine 
bleach for anything else with any regularlity.
 
It *can* be done. *You* might be successful at it. I found it too smelly, 
tedious and nasty to bother with.The hobby is supposed to be for fun as it is 
and there are enough dubious odors already involved.

I am finding out more about getting these eggs from China. Turns out my old 
East Coast club might be getting in on an order being placed by the NY 
aquarium, so I might go that way and get a friend to pick up a few cans for me. 
Getting a 20 case order, and working through the shipping challenges (pickup at 
the dock? Delivery? Bonding? Getting the money to China? etc.) is more than I 
think I can handle. ANyone have any contacts at the Seattle Aquarium? I wonder 
if they buy brine shrimp eggs and had some way to handle such a big order. The 
prices are quite good, Sanders and Jehmco for 90% eggs want around $25-30 per 
15oz. can, these Chinese eggs are less than 1/2 that
