I just want to say that back when I 'did' cichlids, rainbow cichlids were one of my favorites! They aren't HUGE, they are pretty and not horribly aggressive (like some cichlids). For instance, when they bred in our community tank at work, they didn't kill off the other inhabitants like our kribensis (at 1/3 the size) did! If I had a larger tank freed up, I'd think about these guys, but I really am not in cichlid-mode this time. Just wanted to give some kudos to a cool cichlid species.
