For sure? There's no guarantees. But, I've had them in the past and the 
population of both kinds of snails dropped.
 
However, once the clown loaches are removed, the burrowing snails come back. 
Damn things are nearly impossible to get rid of without chemicals (and even 
then i'm not so sure you can get them all).
