[GSAS-Member] Need advice about my Gold Rams

  Hi all,

  I hope someone her could help me out.
  As you know I have tiny Gold Rams spawned last week.  And once again, they 
laid  eggs on Wednesday night.  And this time I was there to see part of the 
ritual.  Anyway, the thing is the Dad have been pale colored although he did 
part and go over the eggs.  I am sure he spread/smeared his seeds on the eggs.  
But he has not colored up and she is the one fanning and guarding the eggs this 
time around.  Although whatever the reason, he may not well.  I didn't see the 
female pick on him or nothing but he is still pale colored and stay at the 
corner behind the sponge filter.  And they did laid the eggs on the plastic 
part of top of the sponge filter, by the way.

  And I am wondering if I should remove the male even it would be tough to do 
so.  But it probably better to do so before the eggs hatch I imagine.  And they 
should hatch either tonight or tomorrow morning or so according to the web 
site.  Or just remove them alone since she is not picking him.  I did about 1/3 
water change yesterday.  Since I thought the water quality maybe the issue.  
But he still acting same way.  


  I hope someone have the advice for me.

P.S.  Unfortunately I think the little fry from the Celestial Pearl Danio may 
have been eaten by the parents.  And I think I need to set up the breeding tank 
instead of hands off survival of fittest set up.
