That site was new to me, thanks. 2G11 base is 4 pins in a row, which is what
I have.

The bulb you mentioned as a CRI of 82. The 5500K bulb at AHsupply has a CRI
of 91. I wonder how much of a difference that makes in the appearance of the
tank? Well, probably not $7x4 worth anyway.

That actually sounds like my kind of project, but for another day.

If I had a fish room I'd do the same. Unfortunately my main tank at home is
in the same room as the couch/TV and that much light would probably be
really irritating.
