Matt,
I don't believe that the US Postal Service has a higher percentage of
"blundering dunderheads" than any other company actually. However, I have
found that talking to the right people in the right way does raise one's
chances of obtaining the information they are looking for. Interesting that
they tell you the box reached Seattle and nothing more. Are they saying the
box is lost then? I realize there were live animals in the box, but, I am not
sure that all people see that quite the same way as an aquarist might. If the
fish are worth it to you, I would suggest you visit the post office in person
and start asking to talk to people on up the management chain. This could
prove to be a long day, but, it is difficult for people to ignore someone in
person compared to someone on a phone or via an email. Just a thought.
Clay

PSKA sent a box of fish, express mail, on Monday to NJ. Due to arrive Tuesday,
in time for a fish club meeting Wednesday.
The box still hasn't arrived. All the PO is saying is, "yes, they reached
seattle on monday." No idea where they are since. They're going to refund my
express mail fee. How nice.
Do postal service packages from Seattle go through San Diego? Or, is it simply
the case that, well, they're just a bunch of blundering dunderheads living on
the public dime?
I called them yesterday (2 days after the box left), and they're 'researching'
where the box is. They can take up to 14 days to find out.
Any suggestions? Anyone know who to contact in seattle to find out if the box
left?
