Good news:  The mailing list is now updated for images and searching!

If you go to www.gsas.org, you can search the GSAS website and mailing 
lists.

This list now allows jpeg attachments, so long as the entire message is 
less than 250K (that's about enough space for 3 640x480 medium quality 
images per message).  The image attachments will stay in the archive in 
perpetuity, a la

http://lists.thekrib.com/gsas-member/Current/msg00048.html

so there is no quota on how many images you may include over time.
