Maybe you need a few more. I got better results when I got a school of six.

My Botia striata eat the snails and never bother the discus.

It's the common wisdom that all puffers are just plain *mean*. But like
Scott says, having a lot of room (and cover) can do wonders.

I'd try it. Just keep a close watch. If there is nipping, try putting in a
group of 3 puffers. Some fish are said to prefer chasing their own kind,
given the choice.
