Hello folks, [This is my maiden post!] Hmm, puffers of any size and angelfish: not a good idea, at lest if pea puffers are anything like their bigger kin. In my experience, puffers are very nippy not necessarily because of being territorial or aggressive, but because they have a big appetite and tend to randomly "sample" stuff for food value. This wouldn't be a problem for most fishes that take a nip here and there. I think any fish once in a while is tempted to peck at long, flowing angelfish fins. However, for their size puffers have these huge, thick, sharp, snail-crushing teeth, so even a "little nip" on another fish can cause a lot of damage. I had to put my Green-spotted puffer (Teratodon nigroviridis) in my molly/swordtail/convict tank while I was fixing stuff in his 20-long tank for a week. There was no violence and the puffer seemed almost intimidated by the larger fish, yet after a few days big chunks of fin were missing from the mollies, swordtails and convicts, which healed quickly once the puffer went back to his tank! Ironically, my puffer has no problems with tiny fish (striped gobies, Endlers and Heterandria livebearers), which he ignores.
