[GSAS-Member] InLine Heaters and Eheim Tube sizes

Paul pointed out to me that the Eheim filters have differing sizes of tubing
depending on the model.  The model I prefer has the ½? hose rather than the
5/8? hose.  Do I understand it correctly that I must get a corresponding
fitting Hydor InLine Heater?  It seems silly that this is not a uniform
standard size.  It pretty much brings me down to only one Hydor model at
200W and not the 300W I was hoping for because it has a different hose size
than my filter.

 

Am I understanding how these parts work together correctly?  I would ask at
a store but none of my LFS carry Eheim.
